What This Support Is
Many people have heard the word “doula” but aren’t always sure what the role looks like in real life. A doula provides steady, continuous support before, during, and after birth. Medical staff rotate through shifts, and partners support you while also having their own experience. My role is different. I work for your family. I’m the person who stays with you the entire time, helps you understand what’s happening, offers hands-on comfort, guides your partner, and helps you feel grounded and informed from early labour to the first days postpartum.
This package provides the full circle of doula care from pregnancy through early postpartum. It includes steady, continuous support before birth, throughout labour, and in the early days after your baby arrives.
You receive:
• 2–4 prenatal visits, depending on your needs
• Support preparing meaningful and realistic birth preferences
• Guidance on what to expect at the DECH or in a home setting
• Space to ask questions, explore worries, and plan for early labour
• Optional support attending OB appointments if you would find that helpful
These visits help you feel informed, grounded, and prepared before labour begins.
You receive continuous, in-person support during active labour and birth. That includes:
• Full on-call availability surrounding your due date
• Support at home and/or hospital
• Hands-on comfort such as breathing guidance, positioning, and counter pressure
• Calm explanations as things unfold
• Partner support so they feel confident, involved, and steady
• Continuous presence even as hospital staff change shifts
My role is to walk with you through the entire birth, helping you feel supported, heard, and informed.
After your baby arrives, you receive:
• Two postpartum visits (hospital or home)
• Space to process your birth experience
• Early feeding support
• Referrals and community connections if needed
These visits help with recovery, grounding, and easing the transition into life with your new baby.
Your on-call period begins 4 days before your estimated due date and continues 4 days after. During this window, I keep my schedule open so I can join you when support is needed. You can reach me at any hour.
The full birth support package is $900.
Payment structure:
• $450 at booking to reserve your due date (non-refundable)
• $450 due just before your on-call window begins
This ensures your on-call period is fully covered and my schedule is held for your birth.
This package is intentionally priced specifically for Indigeshop to keep full-scope doula care within reach. The care you receive is the same comprehensive prenatal, birth, and postpartum support I offer in my full-cost practice valued at $1,600.
If you’d like to connect, we can schedule a short consultation. It’s a chance to ask questions, see how we work together, and get a sense of whether this support feels right for your family. After our meeting, I hold your due date for two weeks while you decide. If you choose to move forward, we complete the contract during that time. If not, the space opens for another family.
