Wetlands

- Wetland delineation establishes the existence (location) and physical limits (size) of a wetland for purposes of federal, state, and local regulations. Wetland delineation is also an element of jurisdictional determination.

- Wetland compensation is the process of off-setting permitted impacts and loss of wetland area and/or function with actions that ensure no net loss of wetland function in the province.

- Clean Water Act is to protect provincial streams, rivers, wetlands, and lakes from work or ground disturbance in their vicinity.
